For Adriana Lima, that means watching what she eats and drinks and working out regularly. Adriana Lima explained for old British newspaper The Telegraph:
It is really intense, it's not really the amount of time you spend working out, it's the intensity: I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.

She's seen a nutritionist to ensure she has as much energy as possible and drinks a gallon of water a day. When the show is 9 days away she'll only consume protein shakes "no solids", then two days before she'll drink just a normal amount of water. She'll have no liquid at all from 12 hours before she'll take to the runway. "No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that," she explained.
